Tourism from our international visitors brings strength to the U.S. economy. In 1998, the over 46 million international visitors to the U.S. spent more than $71 billion in the U.S., excluding passenger fares. That spending supported over 1 million U.S. jobs and generated more than $9 billion in taxes.
