This slide says it all. Not only did we lose 11 percent of our Canadian visitors between 1997 and 1998, but we have hit an all time low level in the past decade. As a matter of fact, this represents a 5.6 million person visit loss or nearly 30% loss of Canadian visitation since our peak of 1991 (19.1 million).
