The travel trade report describes the structure, development, size and influence of the travel trade in a particular country, as well as the perceptions of the trade about their customer's pleasure travel destination, arrangement and activity preferences. Many countries are in the early stages of the Product Life Cycle for long-haul pleasure travel and rely exclusively on the travel trade to guide them in their vacation destinations and products. This reliance allows U.S. marketers a conduit for reaching these travelers. The report describes what destinations will wane and rise for travelers, as assessed by the travel trade. Some reports assess the role of national tourist offices in providing what is necessary to successfully sell the U.S. product.
